A Boy's Life

Ollie's second favorite thing to do (a very close second to anything truck related) is to splash in puddles.  So - imagine his sheer delight when we came upon this at our park:

As you can clearly see, I lost the battle.  He was right in the middle of it before I could even get the words "stop!!" out of my mouth. 

He was quite happy...until I heard a splash and a wail...

Poor Ollie! (and poor blue snuggly)

Nothing that a warm bath can't cure (:

Outside Outside Outside!

Now that the weather has been consistently beautiful, Ollie's favorite place to be is "outside outside outside", as he calls it.  Good thing we found some new outdoor toys at the consignment store!

His favorite and most recent acquisition is a lawn mover. He wants to push it around first thing in the morning and won't wait to take off his PJs before he gets to work:

Good thing we just filled 'er up with gasoline!

We also got a new bucket and shovel.  He loves to collect flower pedals.

Mimi and Bop do Portland - Part 2

We were so lucky to have Mimi and Bop visit us for 5 days!  The icing on the cake was having 5 days of spectacularly beautiful weather too. In addition to plenty of walks and trips to the park, Ollie was excited to show off some of his favorite things to do in Portland.

He first took them to the beautiful Portland Japanese Gardens...

...to his Monday morning gym class...

...and to his favorite class of the week, his Tuesday Music class!

Too bad he didn't have any fun (:

There was also plenty of time to play with goofy Bop while Mama and Mimi had an afternoon of shopping!
